Prior to joining Bel Air, Tom Butler served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at AutoNation, a leading public auto consolidator. There he led the team responsible for over 150 dealership acquisitions totaling over $4 billion in purchase price. During his tenure, AutoNation’s retail revenue grew from zero to $20 billion.

Butler brings broad experience in finance, accounting, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions to Bel Air. Since joining Bel Air Butler has led our team on many of our larger and more complex transactions, typically including dozens of dealerships and complex real estate issues.

Previously, Butler was a manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers and an associate at the First Boston Corporation. Mr. Butler holds a MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in accounting from Bucknell University.
