Michael Lazarus

Managing Director

Michael Lazarus leads the firm's Florida operations. He is a third generation auto dealer with 41 years hands-on experience and participated in the evolution of the industry. Mr. Lazarus grew a single-point, family business into four Land Rover stores, four Saturn stores, and Volvoville. In 1997, he sold his Lazarus Auto Group to Marubeni, the Tokyo-based conglomerate that, at the time, was listed in Fortune Global 500 as the 14th largest company in the world, with $142 billion in annual sales.

Prior to joining Bel Air Partners, Mr. Lazarus served for eight years as Executive Vice President and COO of the Marubeni-owned Long Island Automotive Group and acquired Jaguar and Porsche franchises on Long Island. He has consulted with DCH Auto Group as they made acquisitions on Long Island and still consults for Marubeni and other Long Island dealer groups. He also served two terms as Chairman of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. Mr. Lazarus earned his BBA from Adelphi University and currently serves on their Board of Trustees.
