Stuart Lasser

Managing Director

With nearly 35 years experience as a dealer-operator, and having represented numerous franchises including Ford, Chevrolet, Infiniti, Kia, Subaru, and Saturn, Stuart Lasser is the newest member of Bel Air Partners. During his tenure as a dealer, Mr. Lasser navigated the waters of dealer selection, buy-sells, property transactions, and market area development, and has served on numerous dealer councils, marketing committees, and was a leader in Saturn’s product development, most notably the innovative 3-door coupe.

Before entering the automotive business, Mr. Lasser founded and led his own highly successful advertising and marketing firm but, after 10 years, left to follow his passion for automobiles after meeting his automotive partner in a not-so-pleasant ‘roll-over’ encounter while racing cars at Lime Rock. Now, many years later, Mr. Lasser has exited the retail-side of the industry and uses his expertise to maximize dealer merger and acquisition opportunities for others.

Mr. Lasser is a graduate of Bradley University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He is a past recipient of the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award and, with his wife, co-founded Project Acorn, a non-profit foundation that has, to date, sent more than 500 children to two years of preschool.

Most recently, and prior to Saturn’s announced demise, Mr. Lasser’s dealership filed a suit against General Motors that related to the franchise sharing of facilities -- and won the Superior Court decision on virtually the last day of business before GM went bankrupt.
